About The Position

Who we are looking for State Street Wealth Services - Wealth Custody and Clearing is seeking a skilled and proven Business Risk Advisor, Vice President to support leadership in the identification, assessment and mitigation of risk. The successful candidate will work in a demanding environment to meet expectations of this rapidly growing business. Risk management skills, especially those acquired at G-SIFI organizations and/or large public accounting firms, balanced with technology and data skills will contribute to a candidate’s success in this position. Candidates will demonstrate deep knowledge of current industry methods for evaluating, implementing, and improving processes and tools. • Minimum of 10+ years proven experience with risk management, auditing standards, and best practices.
• University degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Computer Science / Information Technology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of industry Risk and Control frameworks (COSO, COBIT, NIST, ISO, etc.).
• Experience with Microsoft Tools, Archer platform, Open Pages, Tableau, SharePoint.

Nice To Haves

• Technical certifications preferred e.g. CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess risks and controls within business and technology processes.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of controls as part of periodically required process and control reviews.
• Self-identify, and assist the business in identifying issues, incidents, control gaps, analyze their root causes, draft or assist in drafting appropriate and timely remediation plans, and continuously monitor remediation progress.
• Advise the business on risks and control design, adopting a partnership approach, especially during introduction of newer technology and business processes.
• Drive execution of key business risk programs, including regular risk reviews, risk reporting, oversight, and governance activities (including issue and incident management), and monitoring control performance.
• Assist with the preparation and coordination of outside reviews, including audit events and/or regulatory examinations.
• Escalate any perceived violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and recommend a course of action.
• Manage resources in the performance of the above responsibilities.
• Train others in the State Street methodology and reinforce an inherent culture of accountability and ownership for implementation and execution of controls across all levels and functions within the organization.
• Participate in the strategic development of the Business Risk function.
• Partner with the second line and third line of defense consistent with our risk management/control objectives.
• Support with sourcing information for the Business Line Risk Profile.
• Drive completion of TPRM, ISRMP and Data Governance Activities.
