About The Position

The Business Resource Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper level of trained supplemental resources are scheduled to cover absenteeism and support the staffing, planning and execution of full-time employees. Responsible for developing and maintaining a predictive model of absenteeism and analyzing planned absence information to assign replacements to cover planned and predicted absences with full-time and supplemental employees. Supports transformation of cost goals through analysis, communication, and directing the management team to reduce over-manning. Establishes training plans for absentee replacement employees with Center Managers and Shift Managers. Identifies initiatives and implements Kaizens to improve absenteeism loss and responsible for all Manpower KPIs. Works closely with Industrial Engineering regarding supplemental employee utilization levels. Issues SOC and attendance discipline for supplemental employees and serves as the National Attendance Council liaison for supplemental employee attendance issues. Be present on the floor throughout the day and assist supervisors with shift start up and the placement of supplemental and full-time employees. Covers shift managers on vacation. Jointly makes decisions on required supplemental manpower levels with IE, Center Leads, and HR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 2 or more years' experience in supervision in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role with strong knowledge of plant operations
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as required
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to coach / mentor / develop team members
  • Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead team
  • Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
  • Strong problem solving and analytical ability, including ability to analyze data and rationalize to decisions that add value to the business
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
