About The Position
The Business Relationship Manager III position within the Information Technology Division at the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is a pivotal role that serves as the primary liaison between business units and technical professionals. This position is designed for an individual who can effectively bridge the gap between technology and business needs, ensuring seamless communication, collaboration, and alignment of IT initiatives with organizational goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating information services and projects that add business value while minimizing disruptions to business operations. In this role, the Business Relationship Manager will assist in the development of technical strategies and coordinate various information technology activities. This includes planning, budgeting, initiating, and overseeing projects that are critical to the agency's operations. The BRM will work closely with all levels of agency management, governmental officials, and private entities, establishing their own work plans and priorities to meet set objectives. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Key responsibilities include acting as the primary point of focus between the districts and division and ITD for strategy, delivery, and operations. The BRM will aid divisions and districts in defining business requirements, assist in the design and implementation of strategic solutions, and develop product roadmaps and backlogs. Additionally, the role involves making recommendations for ITD processes related to software technology planning, development, and implementation, as well as overseeing the troubleshooting and analysis of technical problems associated with local applications.
