Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a high-growth tech company, with early-stage startup experience preferred
  • Proven success recruiting and closing candidates across business functions, including GTM, operations, and corporate roles
  • Strong ability to build trusted, consultative relationships with hiring managers and interview teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Data-driven approach to recruiting with experience using metrics to inform hiring decisions and process improvements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting for GTM teams in a SaaS or B2B environment
  • Experience with Ashby ATS
  • Experience scaling business teams during periods of rapid growth

Responsibilities

  • Own the full-cycle, end-to-end recruiting process for business roles across go-to-market (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success), Operations, Finance, People, and other cross-functional teams, delivering an exceptional experience for candidates, interviewers, and hiring managers
  • Act as a strategic hiring partner to business leaders, collaborating closely to define role requirements, develop clear position profiles, and align on hiring plans, priorities, and timelines
  • Design and execute proactive sourcing strategies across multiple channels to attract both active and passive candidates for business roles in competitive markets
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines, effectively assessing, engaging, and closing top business talent
  • Drive an efficient, structured, and equitable interview process while continuously improving hiring workflows and candidate experience
  • Track, analyze, and report on key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline conversion, source effectiveness, candidate experience) and share insights with hiring managers and Sierra leadership on a regular cadence
