The Business/Project/QA Analyst position within the Office of Technology Services (OTS) is focused on performing analyses of information technology initiatives, business processes, and systems. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to define and design business and systems requirements, guiding projects using Agile and traditional methodologies, and conducting quality assurance testing to support IT systems modernization. The position offers opportunities for career progression and may be filled at different levels based on the candidate's experience.

  • Lead and perform business and/or technical analysis of highly complex business/technical requirements and processes for a project or initiative through collaboration with agency subject matter experts, developers, and other analysts.
  • Mentor and train lower level Analysts and Associate Analysts in the performance of business and/or technical analysis of complex business/technical requirements and processes.
  • Create and deliver overview and/or detailed documentation about highly complex current and future state business/technical processes for a project or initiative including pros, cons, and recommendations concerning potential future state processes.
  • Document business and/or technical analysis practices and procedures.
  • Perform all other tasks, special projects, analysis, studies, and plans as directed.
  • A baccalaureate degree plus three years of experience in information technology, project management, business analysis or professional administrative services.
  • An associate's degree in information technology will substitute for the baccalaureate degree.
  • Two years of experience or training in information technology will substitute for the baccalaureate degree.
  • Candidates without a baccalaureate degree may combine experience or training in information technology and college credit to substitute for the required baccalaureate degree.
  • A maximum of 90 semester hours may be combined with experience or training in information technology to substitute for the baccalaureate degree.
  • Six years of full-time work experience in any field may be substituted for the required baccalaureate degree.
  • A baccalaureate degree with twenty-four semester hours in specified fields will substitute for up to one year of required experience.
  • A master's degree will substitute for up to one year of required experience.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
