The Business Process Engineer will be part of a dynamic team that employs Agile methodology best practices to organize targeted Scrum teams to design, develop, test, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade applications that maintain and expand existing functionality and mission support areas. This role supports the integration of enterprise initiatives through a common vision and strategy that promotes interoperability and reuse across systems and platforms. The Business Process Engineer will demonstrate a strong understanding of the capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses of current commercial and open-source solutions and will provide recommendations, lead implementations, and execute approved product and process changes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Public trust with the ability to obtain DHS EOD (Entry on Duty)
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience with agile tools, including JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, and Teams, preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture and security, DevSecOps development standards, and understanding of the capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses of current commercial and open-source ICAM products to recommend, lead implementation, and implement accepted product change.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Scrum or Agile Certifications preferred.
  • Security certifications such as CEH, CISSP preferred.
  • AWS or Azure Cloud certifications are preferred.
  • ServiceNow experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly evaluate the performance and effectiveness of current solutions against agency needs.
  • Recommend open-source and/or commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products and platforms to satisfy program and enterprise requirements.
  • Lead collaborative solutioning efforts between contractors and Government stakeholders to drive innovative program advancements.
  • Establish and maintain robust governance and stakeholder engagement processes to manage programs and coordinate the release of new products and services.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure a clear understanding of federally mandated policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and systems by all stakeholders.
  • Provide recommendations for, and lead the implementation of, commercial and open-source products and platforms.
  • Support the implementation of a Risk Management Plan and maintain a risk registry in accordance with federal standards.
  • Support the advancement of cybersecurity posture through the development and implementation of cyber hygiene methodologies and governance frameworks.
  • Monitor and ensure fulfillment of performance standards and support required reporting activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
