About The Position

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Business Process Engineer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Business Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving business processes to enhance efficiency and achieve organizational goals. They analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize performance, often using data analysis and process modeling techniques. CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission. This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

  • Experience: Shall possess a minimum 8 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Education: Possess a Master's degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or have Bachelor's degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 2 years of related senior experience, for a total of 10 years, as a substitute to the Master's degree.
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
  • Required: IT change management experience (3 yrs.)
  • Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server administration.
  • Networking: Understanding of network protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • CI/CD Tools: Experience with Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and other relevant tools.
  • Database Management: Familiarity with SQL Server, MySQL, or other database systems.
  • Cloud Technologies: Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is often required.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Team Leader: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. May supervise others.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Process Improvement Methodologies: Experience with methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Agil

Nice To Haves

  • Highly Desired: Proficient oral and written communication skills, IT program management experience (2 yrs.)

Responsibilities

  • Process Analysis and Design: Evaluating current workflows, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and designing new or improved processes using techniques like Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).
  • Data Analysis and Measurement: Utilizing data to assess process effectiveness, track performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implementation and Optimization: Implementing process changes, developing documentation, and ensuring processes are aligned with business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with various teams (e.g., operations, IT, management) to gather requirements, communicate changes, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Driving ongoing process enhancements, identifying opportunities for automation, and ensuring processes adhere to best practices and compliance standards.
  • Training and Support: Developing training materials and conducting workshops to educate stakeholders on new and improved processes.
