The Business Process Engineer at Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America will focus on optimizing technology-driven manufacturing processes within a new Li-ion battery factory. This role involves collaboration with production teams and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in manufacturing operations.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of technology-driven manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize production workflows, minimize waste, and reduce cycle times.
  • Collaborate with Production Engineers and technology specialists to design and implement innovative solutions to address process inefficiencies.
  • Standardize processes across departments and functions, documenting procedures to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of process improvement projects, from initial scoping to implementation and performance monitoring.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to gather insights from production data and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor process performance and track progress against operational targets.
  • Partner with Technology and Engineering teams to evaluate and integrate new technologies and manufacturing systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to production teams during troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Technology Department.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master's Degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in process engineering or production engineering within a technology-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies, focusing on technology integration and automation.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management.
  • Background working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
