About The Position

The Business Performance & Optimization Intern supports the analysis of operational performance, financial data, and business processes to drive efficiency and continuous improvement across the organization. This role assists in developing insights, supporting process mapping initiatives, and contributing to data-driven decision-making. The internship provides hands-on exposure to business analytics, process optimization, and cross-functional operations in a dynamic aviation or project-based environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
• Basic understanding of business analysis, data analysis, or process improvement concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

• Coursework or academic projects in business analytics, process improvement, or financial analysis.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Basic understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Interest in aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, or operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting operational and financial data to identify trends and performance gaps.
• Support development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for leadership and business units.
• Assist in mapping business processes, workflows, and value streams to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by gathering data, documenting processes, and tracking outcomes.
• Assist in developing business cases and presentations for process improvements or operational changes.
• Work with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Program Management to support data needs and analysis.
• Help maintain performance metrics and KPI tracking systems.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for process automation or workflow enhancements.
• Support documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process improvements.
• Participate in meetings and provide analytical support for strategic and operational initiatives.
• Perform general research and data analysis to support business performance initiatives.
