The Business Optimization team is dedicated to advancing process improvement and engineering initiatives across Vantage. Utilizing the Gating Framework, the team collaborates closely with stakeholders to analyze, refine, and standardize workflows and operational procedures globally. This ensures that process consistency and efficiency are maintained from site acquisition through data center delivery and ongoing operations. The primary focus is on identifying opportunities for process optimization, implementing best practices, and establishing robust governance structures to enhance quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness organization wide. Through rigorous process validation, continuous improvement efforts, and the application of proven methodologies, the Business Optimization team systematically drives process excellence and engineering innovation throughout every phase of the data center lifecycle.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders to discuss their processes and the necessary approvals required within the gating framework.
  • Maintain and update company processes, procedures, and work with the business to obtain best practices.
  • Conduct process mapping, workflow analysis, and review of deviations across company operations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to document business processes, identify pain points, and assess risks in Vantage's operations.
  • Act as a resource to internal stakeholders regarding process standards.
  • Maintain and update processes and procedures related to the internal process development database to inform future process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop independent internal process maps and process improvement plans, translating conceptual ideas into detailed documentation.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify process and schedule risks associated with various projects.
  • Act as a subject matter resource to internal stakeholders regarding process improvement and process mapping across North American markets.
  • Review complex process improvement proposals for new projects, supporting local project teams in assessing cost, scope, and schedule impacts.
  • Ensure all project work scope is incorporated into process improvement plans; verify accuracy of scope, durations, and assumptions in each plan, and support the authorization and release of internal budgets and estimates.
  • Research and evaluate new process improvement techniques and develop process roadmaps relating to sustainability, business process design, and other Vantage initiatives to achieve competitive pricing.
  • Collaborate with vertical peers on continuous improvement initiatives for business processes.
  • Analyze process documentation, specifications, proposals, and related materials to provide input or review comments on time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
  • Conduct process take-off assessments as an independent validation of contractor pricing, consistent with project objectives.
  • Review and integrate lessons learned to maintain accurate and relevant process improvement data.
  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal stakeholders and partners.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in process mapping, workflow optimization, and project management.
  • Lean Six Sigma or PCQ certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in process workflow, process mapping, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with process standardization and governance.
  • Familiarity with systems and tools such as ServiceNow and Salesforce for process and workflow management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word, for managing and reporting on estimate throughput, status, and labor allocation.
  • Experience with process mining tools is advantageous.
