The Business Operations Travel Coordinator will provide full-time support to a Project Management Office (PMO) and Business Operations Team managing execution against a delivery contract. The role involves employing project management approaches, techniques, and tools to support Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) conducting Security Cooperation activities both virtually and during short-term deployments around the globe. Responsibilities include developing Travel Authorization Requests (TARs) and Requests to Initiate Purchase (RIPs), researching and developing cost estimates for international travel and vendor agreements, confirming dates and planning factors, resolving discrepancies in travel plans, and assessing airfare quotes and routing for cost estimates. The coordinator will communicate regularly with SMEs to complete travel planning actions and requirements, maintain key tracking systems, and ensure compliance with pre-travel actions. Additionally, the role involves maintaining the currency of team Standing Operating Procedures (SOP), identifying areas for continuous improvement, and managing efforts to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ability to work well with a multitude of people from different levels, backgrounds, and nationalities.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience planning international travel.
  • Knowledge of the Fly America Act, Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Federal Travel Regulation (FTR), and Department of State Standardized Regulations (DSSR), Section 925.
  • Knowledge of Booz Allen Travel Policy, Expense Online (EOL), and Concur.
  • Knowledge of Security Cooperation and Institutional Capacity Building.
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail.
