This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As a Business Operations Systems Engineer, you will help improve New Glenn’s ability to deliver on schedule, successfully fly payloads, and maintain cost discipline. This role is part of the Glenn Stage One (GS1), Business Operations and Product Strategy team, supporting critical mission success by owning processes that evaluate and incorporate engineering changes, as well as managing the long-term roadmap for product upgrades. This position ensures seamless integration of design upgrades while maintaining operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and sound configuration management. This role directly impacts mission success by minimizing upgrade-related risks/costs/error rates, while accelerating process timelines, and ensuring organizational compliance with company policies and industry best practices. In addition, the candidate will help the broader team support external customers (especially government) and ensure certification compliance. The position requires a strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capabilities to support both routine operations and high-intensity launch campaigns. The successful candidate will work under the direction of leaders within the GS1 Business Operations & Product Strategy team. Strong technical skills and excellent communication are a must, as the individual will frequently collaborate across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations.
