About The Position

The Strategic Remediation Manager leads and oversees risk execution for the TD&O Wholesale division, ensuring compliance, governance, and strategic alignment across technology and operational risk initiatives. This role is responsible for driving integrated risk visibility, prioritizing remediation efforts, and establishing a programmatic structure for technology compliance initiatives. Acting as a master coordinator, the manager partners with senior leaders and control owners to deliver localized compliance, manage issue remediation, and maintain governance frameworks that balance compliance and investment priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum ten years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to include general business management, consulting-type work, or other disciplines related to executive reporting, operations management, business management and/or technology.
  • Broad knowledge and demonstrated leadership across multiple areas such as executive reporting, stakeholder management, finance, project management, change management, and resource management.
  • Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges, and apply best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges.
  • Experience managing a team, including identifying and recruiting talent, managing performance, and making decisions about resource allocation.
  • Superior executive-level communication skills (verbal and written), including negotiation, persuasion, and ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective and handle interpersonal issues with tact and diplomacy.
  • Must possess ability to: a. Be organized, consume volumes of information, data, and synthesize in an executive summary manner b. Think critically to connect the dots across information, data, and organizations c. Support slideware creation for deliverables at the executive level d. Provide highest level of attention to detail across all deliverables e. Establish positive working relationships across a large organization f. Work in a fast-paced environment where quick turnaround is demanded

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an Executive-level reporting function for either C-suite or Executive level leader
  • Experience managing a team of professionals, focused on business management or delivery of technology initiatives
  • Experience in Financial Services and/or Technology
  • Risk Governance & Oversight a. Lead bi-monthly Wholesale Risk Reviews (including offsite sessions) b. Own horizontal findings and ensure L4 leaders own their respective remediation plans (RPs) c. Provide policy interpretation and oversee localized compliance delivery and control implementation in partnership with CTO, TPS, and EDA teams
  • Strategic Risk Management a. Drive integrated risk visibility to prioritize, sequence, and structure technology compliance initiatives b. Manage technology strategic remediation intake and central reporting c. Oversee risk demand intake and funding processes
  • Governance & Funding Alignment a. Establish governance frameworks to ensure funding alignment for compliance initiatives while balancing overall technology investments b. Enable agile funding processes for Statements of Work (SOWs) or T&M resources to address non-compliance issues promptly
  • Issue Management & Reporting a. Provide end-to-end issue management support and maintain a collective view of remediation activities b. Develop and maintain issue management dashboards and execution reporting c. Lead horizontal issue management and routine continuous monitoring (RCM)
  • Committee Engagement & Reporting a. Represent risk initiatives in key committees (ETRC, ERC, BRC, TDWG) b. Deliver KRI commentary and reporting for leadership and governance bodies c. Prepare talking points for board and committee updates

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Business Operations function spanning ET or for a leader of a specific division within ET.
  • Direct and support leader Executive Reporting routines (including but not limited to Board, Committee, Operating, Staff, Investor Relations, External Media)
  • Lead various efforts or projects of significant complexity and/or risk exposure
  • Indirectly and/or directly lead a team or multiple teams of internal and/or external ET resources to deliver various efforts or projects
  • Identify and implement Continuous Improvements to create efficiencies in the running of the organization (including creation and maintenance of polices, standard operating procedures, and/or job aids, and process automation)
  • Establish and maintain relationships across all levels of leadership and partners including but not limited to Finance, HR, Legal / Office of the Corporate Secretary, Risk, Audit, and Communications
