Build your Career. Make a Difference. Presbyterian is hiring a skilled Business Operations Perioperative and Procedural Services Manager. The Manager of Business Operations Perioperative and Procedural Services, in collaboration with the directors of these departments, analyzes and assists in management of the business functions for surgical and procedural services, overseeing areas including finance, labor analysis, scheduling practice analysis, analysis and management of supply chain usage, capital request support, and provides information and analysis on various other aspects of the business units leading to improvements in efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or business.
  • Five years progressively responsible position in finance, data analysis, business, preferably in healthcare.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The manager works closely with the directors of Perioperative and Procedural departments and is focused on improvement of resource utilization and cost control to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • In collaboration with the Directors of Perioperative and Procedural services, provides ongoing analysis of operations to ensure optimal financial efficiency of these services.
  • Supports optimal financial and efficient performance through data and trend analysis and presents findings leading to improved performance.
  • Trends and analyzes surgical case mix, volume to budget.
  • Supports Value Analysis initiatives for product selection and cost containment, new product reviews, trials, and implementation plans.
  • Is a participant in VAT.
  • In collaboration with department of Procurement, oversees supply usage, inventory ordering practice and control, identifies product variation and opportunity for standardization across services, monitors and trends off cycle product usage.
  • Analyzes trends on surgical scorecards and provides data-based recommendations.
  • Participates in annual budget preparation, monthly budget reviews and variance analysis.
  • Prepares business plans and supporting documentation for capital requests.
  • Participates in block utilization committee and provides data and analysis required to ensure decision making is data based.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with directors of Perioperative and Procedural department directors, key stakeholders including providers.
