About The Position

The Business Operations Manager at Eaton's Electrical Sector in Omaha, Nebraska, is responsible for leading the manufacturing site, which focuses on large-scale, engineer-to-order power assemblies. This role involves driving strategic and operational leadership, managing profit and loss, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The manager will oversee a team of over 120 employees, guiding them towards achieving specific plant objectives and enhancing overall plant performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing setting related to Operations, Quality, Continuous Improvement, or Supply Chain.
  • Minimum five (5) years of management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Prior exposure to product line management, sales, or marketing of a commercial or industrial manufactured product.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with low/medium voltage assemblies, motor control centers, and/or circuit breaker components.
  • Proven experience in movement or expansion of manufacturing production lines.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, review, and motivate direct reports to accomplish specific plant objectives.
  • Ensure fair treatment of employees and guide the discipline/performance management process as necessary.
  • Work with Product Line Managers to execute product line specific pricing and marketing of programs.
  • Establish and refine manufacturing processes to meet volume, productivity, and profit goals.
  • Negotiate the purchase and shipment of materials from outside vendors.
  • Review and approve all invoices from vendors in collaboration with the Production Manager.
  • Maintain effective communication with Organizational Management Staff, Plants, Field Sales Management, Team Members, Distributors, and Contractors.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of applicable codes, regulations, and standards for plant products.
  • Proactively seek ways to improve overall plant performance and develop a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Review and resolve warranty issues and claims in accordance with company policies.
  • Stay updated on Electrical Group technical product developments through training.
  • Encourage teamwork and cross-training among employees.
