About The Position

The Business Operations Manager at Eaton's Electrical Sector will lead the manufacturing site in Omaha, Nebraska, overseeing a team of over 120 employees. This role is pivotal in driving strategic and operational leadership, focusing on profit and loss, growth strategy, and organizational direction to meet business goals. The manager will foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while promoting engagement and inclusion among employees.

Requirements

  • Prior exposure to product line management, sales, or marketing of a commercial or industrial manufactured product.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing setting related to Operations, Quality, Continuous Improvement, or Supply Chain.
  • Minimum five (5) years of management experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with low/medium voltage assemblies, motor control centers, and/or circuit breaker components.
  • Proven experience in movement or expansion of manufacturing production lines.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, review, and motivate direct reports to accomplish specific plant objectives.
  • Ensure fair treatment of employees and guide the discipline/performance management process as necessary.
  • Work with Product Line Managers to execute pricing and marketing for key product lines.
  • Establish and refine manufacturing processes to meet volume, productivity, and profit goals.
  • Negotiate the purchase and shipment of materials from outside vendors and approve invoices with the Production Manager.
  • Maintain effective communication with Organizational Management Staff, Plants, Field Sales Management, Team Members, Distributors, and Contractors.
  • Develop an understanding of applicable codes, regulations, and standards for plant products.
  • Proactively seek ways to improve overall plant performance and develop a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Review and resolve warranty issues and claims in line with company policies.
  • Stay updated on Electrical Group technical product developments through training.
  • Encourage teamwork and cross-training among employees.
