About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Business Operations Intern (Cross-Functional). The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: The Business Operations Intern (Cross-Functional) will support a variety of business functions including Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain/Operations. This role is designed to provide broad exposure to how Eaton’s teams collaborate to deliver value to customers and drive business results. Interns will work on real-world projects with measurable impact while receiving coaching and mentorship from experienced Eaton leaders.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship, co-op, or relevant project experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Interest in operations, analytics, or continuous improvement.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic financial tracking, invoicing, budgets, and variance analysis.
  • Create and maintain Excel-based trackers and dashboards.
  • Support documentation and improvement of administrative or financial processes.
  • Maintain sales and pipeline trackers; ensure data accuracy.
  • Support preparation of internal and customer-facing materials.
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and customer service teams.
  • Conduct market and competitor research and summarize insights.
  • Assist with internal communications, content updates, and event support.
  • Support purchase order tracking, supplier follow-ups, and inventory reporting.
  • Assist with documenting standard operating procedures and process improvements.
  • Support or own 1–2 defined improvement or analysis projects.
  • Present outcomes and recommendations at the end of the internship.
  • Exposure to multiple business functions and Eaton’s operations.
