About The Position

Blizzard Entertainment has an opening for a temporary Operations Analyst in Story & Franchise Development (SFD) at its Irvine, California headquarters. The role reports to the Lead Business Operations Manager and works closely with the Senior Analyst to support operational reporting, planning preparation, and coordination across SFD teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with spreadsheets and operational data. They enjoy supporting planning and reporting processes and identifying opportunities to improve workflows and efficiency. This role is a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. This is a 12-month temporary position.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in business operations, analytics, finance support, or a similar analytical role
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as business, analytics, or related discipline) or equivalent work experience
  • Highly organized and able to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Commitment to data accuracy with the ability to analyze information and identify inconsistencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel or similar spreadsheet tools and comfort working with structured datasets

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with operational reporting or planning processes
  • Experience supporting staffing or headcount tracking
  • Familiarity with reporting tools, Power Query, or data preparation workflows
  • Experience with production or project management tools such as Flow (AKA ShotGrid)
  • Experience in video games, entertainment, or other creative industries
  • Familiarity with Blizzard IPs and a passion for games or creative content

Responsibilities

  • Pull and organize operational and financial data for internal reporting and planning
  • Update reporting templates, dashboards, and materials used in monthly and quarterly reviews
  • Maintain headcount tracking files and consolidate staffing inputs from production teams into planning templates
  • Track purchase orders, invoices, and contract approvals and maintain related documentation
  • Organize reporting files, planning materials, and shared team folders
  • Assist the Senior Analyst with data preparation for forecasting, planning exercises, and review cycles
  • Identify data inconsistencies and flag issues that may impact reporting or planning accuracy
  • Support improvements to reporting, tracking, and operational workflows
