About The Position

The Business Operations Advisor serves as a trusted operational partner to the US Employer Business Operations and Performance Management team, enabling effective execution of priorities across Cigna Healthcare (CHC). The Business Operations Advisor drives and executes key initiatives supporting the CHC operating plan. This resource contributes to core operating projects and ensures executive engagements run seamlessly with clear outcomes and follow-through.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in operations, events, or program management, or sales operations within Cigna.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Strong project management skills with a demonstrated track record of driving execution and follow-through.
  • Executive communication skills—writing crisp narratives and synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • High degree of judgment, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented.
  • Comfortable managing ambiguity, competing priorities, and fast-moving situations.
  • If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Program Management
  • Support priority initiatives for Cigna Healthcare that connect business strategy, financial performance, and talent priorities across the U.S. Employer portfolio.
  • Help to translate insights into clear recommendations for leadership action, including operating metrics, performance narratives, and executive-ready materials.
  • Support ad hoc processes and orchestration of initiatives that cut across multiple strategic business units.
  • Coordinate Events and Executive Engagements
  • Own end-to-end management of market site visits, including attendee preparation, agendas, briefing materials, and logistics.
  • Drive accountability and closure of site-visit follow-ups; track owners, dates and status.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications to shape and execute leadership communications (e.g., town halls, CHC updates), ensuring alignment with priorities and messaging.
  • Drive the completion of annual market briefs and related materials to ensure leaders have timely, accurate insights.
  • Manage corporate giving requests in partnership with internal stakeholders (including coordination with Cigna Civic Affairs).
  • Aggregate monthly/quarterly operating review materials (scorecards, narratives) that enable leadership discussions and decisions.
  • Executive visit agendas, briefing materials, and action trackers
  • Real estate analyses to support cost/lease considerations and site/footprint strategy.
  • Establish operating templates
