This is an exciting opportunity to help cultivate community business partnerships and help achieve strategic credit union goals. As a Commercial Business Relationship Officer: You will be responsible for increasing Texell’s business deposit and lending portfolio by developing business contacts, selling the benefits of Texell membership, and originating commercial loans. Attract new commercial loan applicants by developing relationships within the local community. Make sales calls and in-person visits to prospective members is a daily function of this position. Lead all aspects of the commercial relationship process from opening business accounts, initiating loan applications, closing loans, and ongoing monitoring of loans and relationships. In this role, you will participate in community efforts to promote business growth and development. Assume responsibility for ensuring that professional business relations exist with members, vendors, and trade professionals. This role provides a unique opportunity for project management as well.

Requirements

  • Has a bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Has sales and/or business development experience.
  • Knowledgeable of commercial/business products, services, and policies.
  • Understands, or is able to learn easily, government regulations and legal requirements involving commercial lending and related functions.
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Has integrity, a team spirit, and can in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience is a plus, but not necessary.
