About The Position

The Business Office Specialist at Doctors Same Day Surgery plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the business office. This position involves coordinating daily operations, overseeing scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, and managing patient deposits, all while contributing to the overall mission and values of HCA Healthcare.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office setting highly preferred (i.e. ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctors office).
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the business office.
• Oversee functions of scheduling, chart preparation, patient registration, insurance verification, and collecting patient deposits.
• Ensure assigned areas are staffed by coordinating the team's schedule daily.
• Complete chart preparation, data entry, collections, insurance verification, and pre-certification as required by insurance plans.
• Reconcile daily front office collections.
• Work with the nurse manager and/or nurse coordinator to streamline the daily schedule.
• Responsible for opening and/or closing procedures of the facility.
