Nebraska Health Imaging is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and driven individual to join our team as a Business Office Specialist I in a weekend-focused role at our outpatient imaging center in Omaha, NE. This is a Full Time Flex position designed to provide consistent weekend coverage while offering weekday flexibility and a predictable schedule. A weekend shift differential is provided in recognition of the importance of weekend coverage. We have 2 positions open. Candidates will be hired into one of the following two schedules, which rotate weekends evenly and provide full weekends off on alternating weeks. Role 1 – Week A - 35hrs (Weekend ON): Saturday: 8:00am–8:00pm Sunday: 8:00am–8:00pm Monday: 8:00am–2:00pm Tuesday: 8:00am–2:00pm Week B - 34hrs (Weekend OFF):Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm Role B – Week A - 34hrs (Weekend OFF): Tuesday–Friday: 8:00am–5:00pm Week B - 35hrs (Weekend ON):Thursday: 8:00am–2:00pmFriday: 8:00am–2:00pmSaturday: 8:00am–8:00pmSunday: 8:00am–8:00pm Every other full weekend off No weekday evening shifts Predictable rotation Benefits Eligible PAY AND BENEFITS: Accomplishing our mission takes a team of people, who are dedicated to treating others as they expect to be treated and who consistently demonstrate mutual respect. This career ladder shows your point of entry into our team, as well as the growth and promotional opportunities available to you within our business office department: Business Office Specialist I -- Business Office Specialist II -- Business Office Specialist III -- Business Office Supervisor -- Business Office Manager The Business Office Team is responsible for collaborating and leading the Imaging Center team in providing excellent patient care and supporting the operational goals for both the Center and the organization. This includes all customer and patient-facing responsibilities including welcoming, registering, and overall patient coordination, as well as phone correspondence, scheduling appointments, inventory, and medical record management. The upper levels of this series also include the training, supervision, and management of Business Office team members. The overall scope for this series is designed to ensure the management and resources are available to maintain a quality, high functioning, and customer friendly Outpatient Imaging Center.

Requirements

  • To be competitive, must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask.
  • Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
  • Comfortable with collecting time of service amounts due.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and Microsoft Office
