About The Position

The Director of the Business Office at Brentwood Hospital is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the effective management of patient admissions and collections. This role supports the delivery of quality services and the financial goals of the organization, contributing to the overall mission of improving mental health for individuals and families. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage staff and collaborate with various departments and insurance companies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Five years' work experience in a related field required; experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
• Proficient in PC software, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Complete business office procedures associated with the patient admission process.
• Supervise admissions staff (financial counselors) and ensure appropriate financial criteria are met prior to patient admissions.
• Oversee and direct collections and data processing functions.
• Manage in-house collection efforts to meet business goals and corporate established collection targets.
• Initiate resolution of account problems independently and identify trends with patient account issues.
• Maintain effective communication and supportive relationships with business office staff, supervisors, other departments, and insurance companies.
• Manage own workload effectively and offer support to co-workers and other departments.
