About The Position

Mapleview Country Villa is a resident‑centered skilled nursing and long-term care community committed to operational excellence and compassionate care. We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Business Office Manager (BOM) to oversee financial operations, billing functions, and office management responsibilities. The Business Office Manager is responsible for managing all business office functions, including billing, accounts receivable, resident trust accounts, payroll support, and financial recordkeeping. The ideal candidate has experience in long-term care billing systems, Medicaid/Medicare processes, and excels in accuracy, communication, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Business Office Manager, Bookkeeper, or billing specialist in long-term care strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare, managed care, and long-term care billing systems
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel required)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
  • High school diploma required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in accounting or business preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the business office
  • Manage accounts receivable and billing for Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and insurance
  • Complete and process resident admission paperwork, financial forms, and payment agreements
  • Maintain and reconcile resident trust accounts in compliance with regulations
  • Review and verify census information, charges, and reimbursement accuracy
  • Assist with Medicaid applications, redeterminations, and eligibility follow-up
  • Process vendor invoices and support accounts payable as needed
  • Assist with payroll processing and staff HR paperwork (depending on facility structure)
  • Prepare month-end reports and support audits
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and external partners
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all state and federal regulations
