Puget Sound Home Health and Hospice is hiring a Business Office Manager to support daily administrative and HR operations for our home health, hospice, and palliative care teams. This role oversees office workflow, manages essential HR tasks, and provides supervision to a small team of direct reports. Requirements

  • Workday HRIS experience required
  • HR or administrative experience in healthcare required; home health/hospice strongly preferred
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal and WA State employment regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work on‑site Monday–Friday in Tacoma
  • Experience supervising or leading staff preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support office staff; ensure smooth daily operations
  • Oversee payroll and timekeeping for hourly, salary, per‑diem, PPV, and 1099 employees
  • Assist with onboarding, new‑hire paperwork, and employee file compliance
  • Maintain employee records in accordance with HIPAA and state regulations
  • Track licenses, credentials, and training renewals
  • Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Support employee engagement activities and internal communications
  • Maintain and update HRIS systems (Workday); prepare reports as needed
  • Coordinate administrative processes to support clinical and leadership teams
