About The Position

This role, reporting to the Revenue Cycle Director, oversees the daily operations of the Business Office, Patient Access, Patient Financial Services, and Health Information Management (HIM). It focuses on improving efficiency through monitoring key metrics, ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory standards, and managing routine administrative functions. The position also includes coaching staff, resolving issues, and promoting effective communication-particularly in patient access. Additionally, it builds strong internal and external relationships, coordinates across departments, and supports process improvements and implementation of best practices.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent accompanied with additional training if office management equal to two years of college or four (4) years of related experience, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Must complete Security Official Training within ONE year of hire date.
  • Must begin billing and/or coding additional education as coordinated with Revenue Cycle Director.
  • General office, clerical, computer, and public relations knowledge required.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative with the ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
  • Possesses excellent communication, leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including electronic health records and standard office software, to produce reports and correspondence.
  • Knowledgeable in office management practices with the ability to supervise and evaluate staff.
  • Effectively collaborates with professional and leadership personnel, with an understanding of medical records administration, including HIPAA compliance.

  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Train according to established District policies and procedures.

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
  • Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period.
  • Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer.

  • Insurance billing and/or physician clinic experience preferred.
