Reelfoot Health and Rehab in Tiptonville, TN is looking to hire a full-time Skilled Nursing Facility Business Office Manager (Collections/Billing) to join our team, who will facilitate billing, collections, and administrative functions in a health care company! Requirements

  • 1-2 years' experience in health care related accounting/billing.
  • 1-2 years' experience billing Medicaid, Medicare, and Private insurance.
  • Computer knowledgeable including word and Excel.
  • A desire to work with seniors.

  • Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all functions of the Business Office.
  • Maintaining daily census, billing and cash collections, and accurate reporting to corporate personnel.
  • Timely billing/collection for Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care claims.
  • Processing resident refunds in a timely fashion.
  • Coordinating with insurance companies to define billing requirements and assure proper payment of claims.
  • Ensuring daily reconciliation of petty cash, monthly reconciliation of Resident Trust and quarterly issuance of statements.
  • Preparing, verifying, and mailing resident statements timely.
  • Producing collection letters in accordance with policy and procedure, ensuring documentation of all collection efforts.
  • Ensuring daily deposits are made.
  • Performing and overseeing the financial screening process on all new residents and residents changing payer types.
  • Ensuring integrity of all resident financial data, auditing, and adjusting accounts for completeness and accuracy when necessary.
  • Responding timely to family members/residents with all private billing inquiries.
  • Tracking Medicaid approval and re-eligibility process.
  • Performing month end close of the PCC system timely and accurately.
  • Assisting residents with Representative payee of Social Security checks.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
