The Business Office Manager supports community operations by maintaining business office systems. This role involves various essential duties including obtaining deposits for new move-ins, managing resident trust, maintaining census, participating in billing and payment processes, generating monthly billing statements, and handling payroll functions. The position may also involve assisting in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes, as well as tracking employee credentials and education.

  • Obtain deposits for new move ins.
  • Assist with managing resident trust, including printing and distributing monthly statements.
  • Maintain census and report status changes.
  • May attend stand-up meetings at the request of the Executive Director.
  • Participate in billing and payment processes including preparing bank deposits, and handling and reconciling petty cash.
  • Generate monthly billing statements, including AR/AP reports and duties.
  • Undertake collection activity for bad debts.
  • Assist in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes.
  • Handle payroll functions for the community.
  • Track employee credentials, annual education, and other learning tasks through the learning system.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of senior living billing and payment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products computer skills.
  • Preferably one year's experience in long-term care facility.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Ability to read technical procedures and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge and experience with PCC and Workday systems preferred.
