About The Position

The Business Office Manager at Mansfield Endoscopy Center is responsible for overseeing various operational functions within the facility, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This role includes managing non-medical personnel, coordinating business office activities, and acting as a liaison with external service providers. The manager will also handle human resources, billing, collections, and month-end reporting, while working closely with the Clinical Director and Administrator to optimize the center's operations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required (Bachelor's preferred) or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a medically-related environment required; surgery center experience is a plus.
  • Experience supervising non-medical teammates required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Experience with patient admissions, scheduling, and medical office operations desired.
  • Understanding of insurance processes, including the verification process, required.
  • Computer experience with Excel, Word, and Medical Billing Software and Applications required.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Survey Monkey preferred but not required.
  • Good communication skills and phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to the facility by performing various business office functions.
  • Coordinate the Business Office team and functions to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Supervise non-medical personnel, including orientation, ongoing coaching, and annual evaluations.
  • Act as a working manager and backup to all business office teammates.
  • Ensure timely and accurate administrative and accounting procedures are carried out and monitor reports.
  • Manage office supplies and equipment, serving as the main contact for building maintenance items.
  • Act as a liaison with billing company, building maintenance, and housekeeping companies, including contract evaluation and negotiations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of payroll and forward to corporate for processing.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Director to ensure efficient operation flow, reporting all activities to the Administrator.
  • Promote the utilization of the Surgery Center in collaboration with the Administrator.
  • Interpret and implement the terms of contracts with all third-party payers accurately.
  • Answer telephone as needed.
  • Demonstrate competency in performing job tasks and operating equipment on an annual basis.
  • Perform other miscellaneous administrative duties as needed.
