About The Position

Jackson County Medical Care Facility is a 194-bed, Eden Alternative certified home where residents, family members, and Care Partners are actively involved in their care decisions and lifestyle choices, creating a supportive home environment. Our skilled nursing facility Business Office is seeking a part-time resident-focused Collections Concierge to support residents and their representatives from admission through discharge. This role blends hospitality and collection coordination with a strong emphasis on Medicaid awareness, application, and private pay collections.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree and/or Minimum of two years of collections or equal experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Organizational Software Applications
  • Positive communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial discussions with professionalism and empathy

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience helpful

Responsibilities

  • Bill, monitor, and collect private pay accounts monthly and ongoing following procedural policy, maintaining accurate collection documentation while demonstrating drive, comfort, and confidence collecting outstanding balances (statements)
  • Serve as the primary financial point of contact for residents and their representatives from admission through discharge to include attending interdisciplinary staff meetings (meet w/ them at admission, ongoing)
  • Coordinate, track, and follow through on all components of the Medicaid application process, including documentation and deadlines on Medicaid eligibility and financial options under the guidance of a Lead
  • Cross-training to offer coverage and support for Business Office
