About The Position

The Business Office Associate at Express Care Laurens is responsible for performing all aspects of the front office, which includes patient registration, answering phone lines, scheduling patient appointments, and assisting with routing patient issues to the proper person for resolution. The associate ensures that all demographic data is collected and entered correctly into the computer system. This role involves entering insurance information, co-pay and co-insurance information, and scanning identification and insurance cards as required. Proficiency in using EMR system practice management and electronic medical record systems is essential as these are the primary sources of documentation for all patient visits and correspondence. The associate must complete all required training when scheduled to avoid any delinquency. Additionally, the role requires practicing work in a safe manner, following proper protocols of infection control, accident prevention, and proper body mechanics. Attendance at meetings and training sessions as directed is also part of the job. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • Associate degree preferred but not required.
