About The Position

We are excited you are interested in joining our team! White Oak at North Grove provides quality nursing care for our 132 bed skilled nursing facility with a 22-bed dedicated rehab wing. White Oak at North Grove is seeking to fill out Business Office Assistant position. This position is full time, Monday through Friday, (40 hours a week) with competitive benefits. The Business Office Assistant is to process and maintain all appropriate and adequate information in order to bill approved payor sources for services and charges rendered by facility. Assist admissions to create an efficient, warm, and inviting atmosphere whereby potential residents and their legal representative are appropriately educated and informed of the admission process assisting the transition of the resident into the facility. Must be able to provide superior Customer Service to our White Oak patients, residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • Must have a working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance
  • Accounts receivable experience
  • Experience in insurance authorizations
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and management skill set
  • Experience in a Long-Term Care/Business Office preferred.
  • High school graduate with commercial college or business experience.
  • Must be mature, well-groomed, and able to meet and communicate with the public.
  • Must possess versatile office skills and leadership abilities.
  • Good physical and mental health required, to be examined by annual health examinations.
  • Must have knowledge of operational goals and to be loyal to facility objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Long-Term Care/Business Office preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain all appropriate and adequate information in order to bill approved payor sources for services and charges rendered by facility.
  • Assist admissions to create an efficient, warm, and inviting atmosphere whereby potential residents and their legal representative are appropriately educated and informed of the admission process assisting the transition of the resident into the facility.
  • Provide superior Customer Service to our White Oak patients, residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Verifies payor sources for possible admissions and/or referrals
  • Maintain current business file on all in-house residents as related to their payor source
  • Makes daily bank deposits and post payments
  • Explains and completed the Business Office related section of the admission packet on new and/or readmissions
  • Assist with communicating all patient changes information
  • Monthly billing experience
  • Secretarial duties as needed such as typing, bookkeeping, photocopying, filing, preparing outgoing mail, etc.
