About The Position

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in analytical fields related to sales, marketing, or business intelligence.
  • In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis, preferably in the material handling industry.
  • Experience in gathering and reporting competitive intelligence and market research insights.
  • Ability to present data to identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
  • High standards of integrity and commitment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong project and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication and relational skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent mathematical skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
  • Must have a valid passport and capacity for semi-regular overseas travel.

  • Experience in the material handling industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform market research to provide tactical and strategic insights identifying business opportunities and threats.
  • Evaluate market penetration by dealer, SIC code, industry type, ITA, WITS, and report on opportunities and threats.
  • Assist in identifying new market opportunities and provide narrative and action plans to support initiatives.
  • Analyze competitors and create a database documenting dealer networks, market penetration, market share, and new products.
  • Conduct research and report on information from material handling industry associations.
  • Analyze data to determine the effectiveness of marketing promotions and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor dealer and market behaviors to provide recommendations to increase sales penetration.
  • Prepare and present research data and recommendations to leadership.
  • Identify databases and resources needed to better manage the business and update these databases regularly.
  • Represent North America on a collaborative companywide team conducting Global Marketing Research.
