Lead the Future of Sustainable Solutions! Join us as a Business Manager for Power and Recovery and drive innovation, growth, and impact. As the Business Manager for Power and Recovery you will operate at the intersection of technical know-how, commercial strategy, and customer relationships within the pulp & paper industry. Core purpose of the role is to grow and manage power and recovery business opportunities — including equipment sales, upgrades, maintenance services, and long‑term customer partnerships—while ensuring profitability and competitive positioning. Commercial & Strategic Leadership Develop and execute business strategies for recovery boiler products and services. Identify market trends (e.g., energy efficiency, emissions reduction, safety upgrades). Work with internal stakeholders to support the development of equipment proposals Customer & Market Engagement Maintain relationships with pulp mills, engineering firms, and EPC contractors. Understand customer pain points: reliability, emissions compliance, steam demand, safety. Present technical and commercial proposals to mill leadership teams. Product & Technical Support Work with engineering and product teams to shape product offerings for boiler improvements. Ensure solutions meet regulatory and mill‑specific requirements. Project & Contract Management Participate in capital project negotiations. Support on-going project management with customer issues & resolution, warranties, and risk exposure. Coordinate with project managers during execution phase to ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded. Expectations: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, Business, or related mill experience. Knowledge of kraft recovery processes. Familiarity with boiler pressure part design, air system optimization, and emissions control equipment. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and field inspection reports.
