About The Position

Live. Work. Explore. as a Business Management Intern at The Oasis at Death Valley! The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Both hotels are open year-round and feature swimming pools fed by naturally warm local springs. This internship allows interns to gain hands-on experience within the business operations departments while participating in online and in-person classes to learn about other business career paths within hospitality. To be eligible for this internship, you must: Relocate to Death Valley National Park in California for the duration of the program Be studying or interested in pursuing a career in the hospitality industry The Details:Position Type: Seasonal, Full-Time InternshipSeason Dates: May 13th, 2026 - August 7th, 2026Pay: $16.65 per hourSchedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays). During high business volume this position may require overtime. Requirements

Relocate to Death Valley National Park in California for the duration of the program
Be studying or interested in pursuing a career in the hospitality industry
Lodging department interns are required to have a valid Driver's License (learner's permit not accepted)
Must be able to work independently.
Must adhere to grooming standards.
Must adhere to all safety guidelines when using cleaning materials.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
Must be able to bend, push, pull, kneel, lift and stand for extended periods of time. 100% of job involves being on your feet.
Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

Learn about operations at a high-volume resort property in a unique desert environment.
Gain hands-on experience in multiple roles within your assigned department.This includes Accounting, Human Resources, Operations etc.
Complete all online training courses according to the set schedule.
Attend all in-person learning sessions focused on leadership, operations, and hospitality.
Rotate through various departments to understand daily operations, including both front-of-house and back-of-house functions.
Network with managers and directors across departments to build professional relationships.
Identify and explore challenges and solutions for operating a sustainable hospitality enterprise within a National Park setting.
