About The Position

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Business Logistics Analyst, and we aren’t looking for a typical analyst; we are looking for a Financial Sentinel. As the Business Logistics Analyst for the Lakota Utility Helicopter (LUH) Program, you will serve as the primary diagnostic engine behind a $300M+ annual revenue stream. This isn’t about just reporting numbers—it’s about safeguarding the fiscal health of a program that directly impacts US Army mission readiness. If you have the analytical rigor to transform raw operational data into actionable business intelligence and the "systems-thinking" mindset to engineer a single source of truth across SAP and military platforms, we want to talk to you. Meet the Team: We are a high-performance collective of financial diagnosticians, data engineers, and logistics strategists. Our team culture is built on disciplined curiosity. We don't just report that a variance exists; we collaborate to find out why—whether it’s a supply chain bottleneck, a shifting maintenance cycle, or a pricing fluctuation—and we architect the solution. Your Working Environment: A suburb just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is home to Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters, where we have more than 1,000 employees. Check out one of the seven professional sports teams that also call Dallas home - you may even see a special, custom Airbus helicopter dedicated to the Dallas Cowboys flying during home games. How We Care for You: Financial Rewards: Competitive base salary, incentive compensation which may include profit sharing schemes, retirement savings plan and the ability to participate in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (“ESOP”) Work/Life Balance: Paid time off including personal time, holidays and a generous paid parental leave program. Health & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical (traditional and high-deductible health plans), prescription, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan (“EAP”) and other supplemental benefit coverages. A full job description will be provided to candidates who progress to the interview stage or any candidate upon request.

  • Microsoft Office suite or Google equivalent—specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card (CAC)

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree Business, Statistics or Finance or related degree
  • 3 + years of data analytics experience within the Aerospace industry
  • Project management certification
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • SAP (especially on the Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) and Business Warehouse (BW) modules)
  • CAMMS
  • Alteryx / Tableau
  • Appsheet
  • Systems Logic: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced Modeling) and PowerPoint or Google equivalent
  • Advanced Tools (Preferred): SAP (BPC/BW modules), Alteryx, Tableau, and Smartsheet

Responsibilities

  • Financial Governance & Diagnostic Analytics: 45%
  • Variance Critical Thinking: Conduct rigorous "Actual vs. Plan" audits. Instead of merely reporting gaps, diagnose the root causes of variances (e.g., supply chain bottlenecks, labor inefficiencies, or pricing fluctuations) and recommend corrective actions.
  • PBH & Flight Hour Lifecycle Management: Lead the Flight Hour Rate reconciliation process. Apply process-oriented logic to the Power-By-the-Hour (PBH) framework to identify system leaks and implement structural improvements.
  • Stakeholder Intelligence: Translate complex financial datasets into high-utility operational briefings for business partners, ensuring that quantitative data facilitates evidence-based decision-making.
  • Architectural Synchronization: Engineer a "Single Source of Truth" by coordinating data exchange across internal (SAP/SharePoint) and external (US Army/CAMMS) platforms.
  • Systemic Validation: Implement rigorous automated and manual validation protocols to ensure data consistency, eliminating the risks associated with "garbage-in, garbage-out" logic. Also participate in regular meetings with the Army to ensure CAMMS is being updated and maintained based on data integrity issues.
  • Cost Engineering & Risk Assessment: 40%
  • Strategic Costing: Assist in analyzing Over and Above (O&A) and material exclusions by validating reason for order assumptions, gross margin projections, and cash flow impacts.
  • Business Continuity: Responsibilities include maintaining the integrity of the program’s Cost Per Flight Hour (CPFH) model. You will not merely observe, but actively scrutinize cost drivers—including labor, material, and travel overhead—to ensure the program remains under strict fiscal guardrails.
  • Margin Preservation: Critically evaluate financial drivers to safeguard the cost base and margin performance across the annual revenue stream.
  • Metric Framework Development: Help establish and govern a suite of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) focused on Forecast Accuracy (FA), Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removals (MTBUR, MTBR (covered events), MTBF, SLLs, TBOs, LLPs), and PSFR CDRL.
  • Logistics Orchestration: Synchronize complex removal/repair cycles with external suppliers and DCR (Domestic Components Repair), ensuring component availability perfectly aligns with aircraft maintenance schedules. Works with Repairable Team to research and optimize “reason for removals” to better sustain PFSR metric and cost efficiencies.
  • Process Optimization & Compliance: 15%
  • Internal Controls: Architect and maintain robust policies that ensure data integrity and transparency.
  • Automation & Refinement: Apply a continuous improvement (Kaizen) mindset to automate repetitive reporting tasks using tools like Alteryx, Tableau, or SAP BPC, reducing the margin for human error and increasing analytical velocity.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Strategy: This role directly shapes the range and depth of global inventory.
  • Mission Impact: Analytics produced have a direct correlation to the US Army’s mission capability and the program's overall revenue-generating efficiency.

Benefits

  • retirement savings plan and the ability to participate in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (“ESOP”)
