About The Position

Klein DeNatale Goldner (KDG) is a well-established law firm headquartered in Bakersfield, California, providing a wide range of legal services for over seven decades. The firm specializes in complex business transactions and litigation, estate planning, agricultural issues, labor and employment matters, water and public agency law, intellectual property, and emerging health care issues. We are currently seeking a Business Litigation Attorney to join our team, with the opportunity to work in either our Bakersfield or Santa Barbara office.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in practice in business litigation.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in business litigation matters, including contract disputes, partnership disputes, and corporate governance issues.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal documents, including motions, discovery documents, and pleadings.
  • Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial and appeal.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on case progress and legal options.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.

Benefits

  • The anticipated base salary range for this full-time role is $155,000 - $275,000 per year, with the final offer dependent on factors such as experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and location.
