About The Position

Larkin Hoffman is seeking to add an Associate Attorney to our Business Litigation Practice Group. This successful candidate will work closely with our current business litigation attorneys to support numerous clients with general business and commercial litigation matters. The ideal candidate will possess two or more years of experience handling litigation matters in areas such as business, commercial, labor and employment, product liability, environmental, insurance coverage, construction, or real estate, and be admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota. Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited United State law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota.
  • Preference given to candidates with a minimum of two years’ experience in business litigation or commercial litigation in Minnesota state courts and/or federal courts.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients and colleagues to gather information, provide legal advice, and update on status of legal actions and work on projects.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis including investigating facts, analyzing case precedents, and researching applicable laws and regulations.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, memoranda, contracts, and other legal documents as requested.
  • Assist with discovery including preparing and responding to written discovery, reviewing document production, and taking and defending depositions.
  • Appear in court for hearings and trials; draft and argue motions; attend arbitrations and mediations.
