Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a business-related field OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
  • At least three years working in corporate licensing and compliance role.
  • Experience in a role requiring a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Experience researching and applying regulatory requirements, including federal, state, and local laws.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills dealing with a variety of business scenarios with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience working with compliance tracking and license history systems.

Responsibilities

  • Research, prepare, and submit license and permit applications for new store locations, renewals, and special projects.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of state and local tax law changes to determine license requirements by various agencies for new and existing WinCo locations.
  • Utilize licensing software to administer license and permits.
  • Work with various departments to obtain all necessary data for license applications and renewals.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by gathering and organizing necessary paperwork and records.
  • Work with legal department and various regulating entities to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Assist in resolving issues and violations related to licenses and operational permits.
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies in business documents and licensing records.
  • Obtain and maintain confidential information from Board Members and Store Managers to complete license and agency updates based on business changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
