The Business Librarian supports the university goals to be excellent in inter-disciplinary research and graduate highly educated individuals at all degree levels. Working under the leadership of the Research & Academic Outreach Team Lead, position responsibilities include the following: Provides effective delivery of business research instruction at all levels of the curriculum in the classroom and online, participates in the library’s first year information literacy curricula, and may support other subjects as assigned. Conducts consultations with students, staff, and faculty in-person and virtually. Engages in academic outreach to the Lubar College of Business, the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center, assigned departments and research centers with an opportunity to creatively engage students across disciplines. Contributes to programming to educate graduate students and faculty on established and emerging practices in scholarly communication. This position provides excellent customer service in a professional manner, serves as a resource to others, and is a model representative of UWM and the Libraries.
