In keeping with this commitment, we seek an experienced, motivated Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team and strengthen our market presence. Position Summary The Business Leads Manager at Winsouth Credit Union is responsible for generating, qualifying, and managing leads to support the credit union's growth in memberships, deposits, and lending. This role is a hands-on, member-facing position focused on outbound contact, inbound lead follow-up, and relationship development with members and potential members across Winsouth's field of membership. In alignment with Winsouth's mission and values, the Business Leads Manager serves as a trusted resource for members while coordinating closely with internal lending, branch, and marketing teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in business development, lending, sales, or financial services
  • Strong outbound calling and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to identify needs and qualify opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of financial products
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple leads and follow-up timelines

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred
  • Credit union or community financial institution experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Outreach Proactively contact existing and prospective members through outbound calls, emails, referrals, and marketing-generated leads
  • Follow up on inbound business inquiries from branches, the website, and marketing campaigns
  • Conduct needs-based conversations to identify opportunities for accounts, services, and lending products
  • Member Relationship Support Develop relationships with members and organizations within Winsouth's communities
  • Educate members on Winsouth's products and services, including checking, savings, investment products, and loans
  • Coordinate with branch staff to transition qualified leads and ensure a smooth member experience
  • Pipeline Management & Reporting Maintain accurate documentation of leads, contacts, and follow-up activity
  • Track lead outcomes, conversions, and follow-up timelines
  • Provide routine activity and pipeline reports to management
  • Internal Collaboration Work closely with branch staff to encourage and support member referrals
  • Assist in educating staff on identifying potential opportunities
  • Participate in business development initiatives, community events, and outreach efforts as needed
  • Compliance & Risk Awareness Ensure all member and prospect interactions comply with Winsouth policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Adhere to BSA/AML, OFAC, privacy, and information security standards
  • Maintain confidentiality of all member information
  • Other Duties Perform additional duties as assigned to support Winsouth's strategic goals and member service commitment
