About The Position

The Adjunct Faculty position in Business Law at AIU Atlanta is responsible for delivering quality instruction to students through well-prepared classes, relevant assignments, and fair assessments. The role emphasizes supporting the academic success of at-risk students and maintaining clear documentation of student progress. Instructors are expected to engage students effectively and ensure that course and program learning outcomes are met as defined by the syllabus.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the subject field for undergraduate courses
• Five (5) years of experience to instruct graduate courses
• Master's Degree in field of instruction from a regionally accredited institution
• Doctorate in field of instruction from a regionally accredited institution for graduate courses
• Completion of a satisfactory background check
• Submission of a resume and/or curriculum vitae and copies of unofficial transcripts

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses
• Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons
• Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations, and timelines
• Provide interesting and relevant assignments that demonstrate learning outcomes
• Challenge, engage, serve, and communicate with students to encourage participation
• Complete all assessments, grade books, and final grade sheets
• Respond to student questions within 48 hours
• Identify and refer at-risk students to academic support services
• Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus
• Ensure safety and sanitation of all labs, equipment, and supplies
• Post and maintain office and classroom schedules
• Support program, campus, and university retention activities
• Attend regularly scheduled in-services and professional development activities
• Complete required professional development and training activities
• Maintain credentials as required by accrediting councils/agencies
