About The Position

This is a hands‑on, paid training position designed for someone interested in a professional mentorship program that will include real world business experience. They will experience a cross functional collaboration while learning through hands on exposure to the trading and operational side of a commodity-based business. Our Intern will spend time rotating through all areas, gaining a full understanding of our scrap metal business. Join our family owned company where people and culture matter! WHAT YOU’LL LEARN During your training year, you will gain exposure to: Yard and scale operations (material identification, grading, and pricing) Processing and shipping of scrap materials Transportation and logistics Accounting and settlements Safety, environmental, and quality systems Sales and purchasing fundamentals Supplier and customer relationship management This comprehensive approach helps you understand the entire lifecycle of the material. Requirements

Prolonged periods standing.
Ability to maintain single task focus and situational awareness.
Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and moving the entire body. This will include balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to the elements of the environment: hot and cold, smells and noises unique to the plant.
Valid driver's license
Good driving record
