The Business Intelligence Solutions Architect is a senior member of the Data Management team who assists in the provisioning, restructuring, transforming, loading, and designing of data structures and assets for the use of Analysts and Leaders to derive actionable insights that inform the organization's strategic decisions and drive business value. In close collaboration with other data engineers and analysts within the department, leads data engineering projects by consulting with operational, financial, and IT teams to query and acquire data, organize and analyze it, model the data, identify trends and patterns, and apply artificial intelligence, data science, or other statistical algorithms to derive insight. Implements creative and innovative user interface and user experience design for the purpose of creating analytical solutions that allow managers and other end users to quickly go from a high-level view and understanding of problem areas down to root cause details. Possesses a combination of business, technical, and financial operations knowledge, enabling the accurate and efficient production of information tools customized to the process improvement and strategic initiative support needs of the department's financial analysts. Under minimal supervision of Business Intelligence Director, collaborates with functional area staff across financial & business departments to understand workflows and build databases, data models, data flows, data visualizations, and queries to support financial & business operations. Demonstrates diplomacy and superior communication when engaging with leaders to understand critical problems, utilizes knowledge of goals to take initiative in designing and building data solutions for solving root cause issues that are impacting flow, and establishes metrics for on-going monitoring. Assists team leaders in the development, implementation, validation, monitoring, and auditing of complex financial systems. Drives the implementation of repeatable standards and workflows that ensure the integrity, accuracy, reliability, timeliness, and effectiveness of data architecture in accordance with financial audit standards. Is professional in all dealings, operates well under pressure, may be subject to heavy workloads and deadlines, and can work independently while providing on-time concise, high-quality deliverables. Develops documentation and conveys knowledge to co-workers. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
