Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data needs, process optimization and improvement
  • Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, interactive dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
  • Contribute to data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment processes to ensure data accuracy and quality
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand the information needs of different departments
  • Help identify trends, patterns, and insights from data to support strategic decision-making
  • Learn and utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Plotly) to present data in meaningful ways
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests from different business units
  • Assist in the documentation of BI processes and methodologies

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar, from an accredited college or university
  • Junior, senior, or graduate level student in good academic standing
  • Solid understanding of basic business concepts and the role of data in decision-making
  • Proficiency with at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Plotly)
  • Familiarity with data manipulation and querying languages (e.g., SQL)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Effective communication skills and ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous internship or project experience involving business intelligence or data analysis
  • Coursework or projects related to business intelligence, data analysis, or data visualization
  • Proficient in using SQL for the manipulation of big data
  • Familiarity with cloud-based database technologies (e.g., Snowflake, InfluxDB)
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus
  • Familiarity with data engineering techniques
  • Familiarity with database architecture and design
