About The Position

Under the general supervision of the SVP of IT, this hands-on role is responsible for the design, development, testing, and ongoing support of the Credit Union's Business Intelligence, analytics, and data integration platforms. The position is focused on building and maintaining scalable data solutions, ensuring data quality, and enabling advanced reporting and visualization across the organization. Will serve as a technical expert in BI development, cloud data services, and API integration, contributing to application architecture, database optimization, and adherence to data governance and information security standards. Requirements

  • Three to five years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence development, data integration, analytics, or related technical fields.
  • Experience with SQL, ETL processes, cloud data platforms (Dagster and Snowflake), and visualization tools (Power BI) is preferred.
  • Experience in data quality assurance, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or (2) Equivalent formal training and certifications demonstrating technical proficiency in data, BI, or cloud.
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature.
  • Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level.
  • Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
  • Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with SQL, scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), and BI platforms.
  • Familiarity with APIs, data modeling, and version control systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong documentation and testing discipline.
  • Should be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Work is performed across multiple branches.
  • Travel between branches is required, including the possibility of travel to Grand Junction and Colorado Springs on an overnight basis.
  • Participates in On-Call Support on nights and weekends on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and supports Business Intelligence solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Implements and optimizes ETL and data pipelines for on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Performs data quality assurance, validation, and testing to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across platforms and reports.
  • Troubleshoots data and integration issues to maintain reliable operations.
  • Develops and maintains APIs and cloud-based data integrations, leveraging modern cloud platforms and services to enhance performance, scalability, and automation opportunities.
  • Collaborates with different departments to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and promote data-driven decision-making across the Credit Union.
  • Participates in the definition and enforcement of technical standards, security best practices, and data governance processes.
