Your adventure awaits! We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer join our team in Elkhart, IN. The Business Intelligence Engineer will own the validation and optimization of SQL data flowing from our operational facilities in order to provide real time insights and business intelligence. A qualified candidate will possess a high level of SQL expertise and PowerBI Dashboarding.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or analytics engineering
  • Advanced SQL expertise (complex queries, performance tuning, large datasets)
  • Hands‑on experience developing or supporting Power BI dashboards
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data validation, and data quality practices
  • Previous Experience collaborating directly with business and operational stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with proven track record showing the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with limited oversight
  • A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, self-awareness, humility, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation
  • Knowledge of Azure or similar cloud‑based data platforms
  • Understanding of ERP systems (e.g., D365) and how operational data flows into analytics

Responsibilities

  • Engineer, maintain, and optimize SQL-based data models supporting real‑time manufacturing analytics
  • Diagnose and resolve data inaccuracies
  • Manage and optimize high‑volume data pipelines
  • Create and maintain SQL views and transformations that power enterprise Power BI dashboards
  • Partner with operations leadership to validate data accuracy and ensure insights align with real‑world manufacturing performance
  • Support rollout and adoption of analytics across prioritized groups and facilities
  • Collaborate on Power BI dashboard development and enhancements as business needs evolve
  • Provide technical guidance on scalability, performance, and future‑state architecture (e.g., SQL capacity, Azure considerations)
  • Help define standards, best practices, and documentation for operational data engineering
  • Participate in executive and plant‑level reviews to explain insights, trends, and opportunities
