About The Position

The Business Intelligence Engineer role at Amazon focuses on enabling data-driven decision-making within the AWS Data Center Infrastructure Operations organization. This position involves developing and maintaining data warehouses and reporting applications to support various teams within the infrastructure environment, ensuring efficient operations and strategic insights through data analysis and visualization.

Requirements

• 4+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with experience in Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
• Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics for business performance understanding.
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
• Experience with Airflow DAGs for ETL.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in data mining, ETL, and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
• Scripting experience in Python to process data for modeling.
• Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the information data warehouse and insight platforms.
• Collaborate with business owners to understand their data and reporting requirements.
• Build ETLs to ingest data into the data warehouse and data lake.
• Define analytics requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions for business customers and development teams.
• Optimize large volumes of data through organization and creation of views and tables with business metrics and KPIs.
• Lead projects and interact with customers and stakeholders to deliver successful dashboard products.
