This role is centered on explaining and predicting customer visit data, a critical input for Amazon. The team aims to model and test assumptions about customer incentives and influences on their choice to visit Amazon, ultimately seeking to understand and predict customer interaction and identify insights to optimize the customer experience. This position is part of an analytics team comprising economists, scientists, business intelligence professionals, and data engineers, bridging observational measurement with theoretical models. The team is supported by experienced software and data engineers focused on measuring and explaining customer experience, and collaborates with the Economist and Science community in CBA and Stores for consultation and peer reviews. The analytics team is empowered to quickly gather necessary data. The parent organization manages end-to-end data collection systems (Clickstream), experimentation (Weblab), and customer value forecasting (GCCP), working across organizational boundaries to identify relevant datasets and curate vast amounts of data into meaningful business reporting and analysis.
