About The Position

The Business Intelligence Developer designs and delivers high-quality, well-modeled data assets that enable reliable analytics and decision-making across the organization (clinical, operational, financial areas, etc.). Developer collaborates with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into curated semantic models and reusable data assets, particularly within the Epic ecosystem. The role ensures data quality, documentation, and governance best practices while leveraging tools like Epic, Databricks, Alation, and other tools as applicable. Business Intelligence Developer maintains strong awareness of upstream pipelines and works cross-functionally to validate data, standardize definitions, and support self-service analytics across the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years experience Relevant experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, data analytics, or related experience. Preferred hands-on exposure to Epic data systems and modern data platforms or
  • Associate's Degree and 5-7 years experience Relevant experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, data analytics, or related experience. Preferred hands-on exposure to Epic data systems and modern data platforms
  • At least 1 application specific Epic certification within the first 120 days of hire. Tracked by department leader. Required

Responsibilities

  • Develop curated, reusable, and well-modeled data assets/products (datasets, reports, dashboards) within the Epic ecosystem (Clarity, Caboodle, etc.) using dimensional modeling and analytics best practices.
  • Promote adoption of governed data products and provide guidance and support to data practitioners and stakeholders across the organization in leveraging self-service analytics tools and effectively using data products maintained by the Data Analytics team.
  • Create and maintain reliable data pipelines and deliverables sourced from the Epic ecosystem, ensuring accurate extraction, transformation, and integration into the CMDP or other downstream platforms
